If you look up at the sky this week, you might be able to catch the Perseid meteor shower.

The meteor is expected to reach its peak between Wednesday and Friday, according to space.com.

Officials say the lack of moonlight in the night sky can allow stargazers to catch these meteor showers.

But where can California residents catch them? The L.A. Times released a list of places people can see the meteor reach its peak.

Locations include:
--Chula Vista Campground at Los Padres National Forest
--Red Rock Canyon State Park
