A 28-year-old assistant football coach and substitute teacher was arrested on child pornography and sexual contact with a minor charges, police said Monday.
David Vernon Prince Jr. was arrested Saturday on suspicion of contact with a minor for sexual misconduct, distribution or showing pornography to a minor, and possession of child pornography, police said. His bail was set at $45,000.
Prince was employed at schools in the Long Beach and Los Angeles areas as a substitute teacher and assistant football coach. Detectives did not disclose the schools where Prince worked or when he was employed.
Investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department's Juvenile Division's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit identified one minor victim in Los Angeles. It is believed that there are additional victims, police said. Price is believed to target girls.
Prince was described as a 6-foot-tall Black man weighing 228 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
