Man, 35, charged in Long Beach fatal shooting of woman

A Los Angeles man was charged Wednesday with murdering a woman he was dating in Long Beach.

Timothy Campbell, 35, was arrested Monday in connection with the June 19 shooting death of Myriam Zaragoza, 43, who died at the scene in the 2300 block of Locust Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

"Detectives determined the victim and suspect were in a dating relationship," police said in a statement. "The motive is still under investigation; however, the incident is believed to be domestic violence."

Campbell has remained behind bars in lieu of $2 million bail since his arrest, jail records show.
