A man was shot and killed Tuesday in the downtown Los Angeles area, and an investigation was underway.
The shooting was reported about 5:45 a.m. in the 700 block of Crocker Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The wounded man, about 20 years old, died at the scene, police said. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
