Officers responded to the 300 block of Fair Oaks Avenue to reports of an unresponsive man Tuesday morning, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Pasadena city spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.

Detectives remained at the scene Tuesday afternoon to investigate "suspicious activity" leading to the discovery.

The body was that of a man in his 30s, whose name was withheld pending next-of-kin notification, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.

His body was found by a Goodwill employee and showed no obvious signs of injury, according to broadcast reports.
