
An investigation was continuing Monday into the death of a 68-year-old Palmdale man who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Acton.
The victim's body was discovered at 12:51 a.m. Sunday at 730 Sierra Highway, west of the Metrolink station entrance, according to the California Highway Patrol.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his name was withheld pending notification of relatives, CHP officials said.
A preliminary investigation determined he was walking west in the eastbound lane of Sierra Highway when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling east, according to the agency.
The driver fled the scene and had not been located. It was not immediately known whether drugs or alcohol were involved or if the motorist was injured.
