
A 31-year-old man was in the hospital Tuesday after he was shot by an assailant in Northridge.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded at 11:12 p.m. Monday to 8750 Quartz Ave., near Brent's Deli Northridge and between Corbin and Shirley avenues, regarding a shots fired call. When they arrived, they learned the victim and the suspect were engaged in an argument when the suspect drew a handgun and shot the victim multiple times, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said

The suspect drove away from the scene in an unknown vehicle and in an unknown direction.
