LOS ANGELES (KNX) – An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles Sunday evening.

It happened around 10:40 p.m. at the intersection of Hill and West 1st streets, the Los Angeles Department said.

The victim, described as a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was initially reported to have been stabbed, but police later said he was shot.

No suspect information was released.
