A former mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and television personality host Jason "Mayhem" Miller was arrested Friday on suspicion of domestic violence.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were dispatched to a Sherman Oaks residence at the 15000 block of Dicken Street after receiving a call from a woman who reported the alleged assault.
Police arrived to find the woman with visible wounds on her face. Miller was arrested on the scene, according to the LAPD. TMZ has reported that one or more officers used a taser to subdue Miller when he allegedly resisted arrest. The LAPD has not confirmed the use.
The former MMA fighter is adding the arrest to an already lengthy rap sheet. He pleaded guilty in July 2019 to felony vandalism and a misdemeanor violation of a restraining order. He reportedly smashed a marble table at a girlfriend's La Habra home, punched holes in a set of doors and derailed the garage door. He was sentenced to a year in prison and three years' probation.
Miller pleaded guilty to domestic violence concerning the same girlfriend in 2017. He was sentenced to 124 days in jail, but was released with credit for time served.
Miller was arrested in 2018 after being found in possession of a bulletproof vest and other weapons, including a machete, an axe, a samurai sword and nunchucks. Police also found performance enhancing drugs in her possession, allegedly obtained without a prescription.
Miller has been booked into the LAPD Valley Jail Section on felony charges. Bail is set at $1.4 million.
