Mulholland Drive closed in Beverly Crest due to mudflow

LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Mulholland Drive was closed between Deep Canyon Drive and Coldwater Canyon Avenue Tuesday morning due to mud and debris flow.

The Los Angeles Fire Department discovered the mudflow around 9 a.m.  in the 13100 block of West Mulholland Drive in the Beverly Crest area.

While no injuries have been reported, firefighters said the mud and debris flow has compromised one utility pole and is threatening homes in the area.

Residents in the area have been asked to evacuate.
