An Orange County man was arrested after he sent selfies of himself at the Jan. 6 Capitol riot to his church group.

Glenn Brooks of Huntington Beach appeared in a federal court Thursday afternoon, ABC7 reports.

According to the criminal complaint, around January 30, the FBI says it received an electronic tip from someone in the church group chat who said Brooks had “boasted of his active participation” and provided photos of himself and other people during the insurrection.

After a follow-up interview with the witness – who provided information about Brooks – officials conducted an investigation. During the investigation, officials say they found surveillance footage of Brooks entering the Capitol that day by climbing through a broken window.
