A pedestrian was killed Wednesday in a hit-and-run accident in Long Beach.
The man was fatally injured at about 5:25 a.m. at Pacific Coast Highway and Temple Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Information on the victim's identity was not immediately available. No description was released of the hit-and-run vehicle.
Traffic was routed away from the area while an investigation was conducted.
