Pedestrian severely injured during crash with vehicle in Malibu

MALIBU (CNS) - A pedestrian was severely injured when he was struck by a vehicle in Malibu, authorities said Saturday.

The crash happened at about 9:40 p.m. Friday on Pacific Coast Highway near Carbon Canyon, according to a watch commander at the sheriff's Lost Hills/Malibu station.

The motorist driving that vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Pacific Coast Highway was closed in both directions for several hours and re-opened about 2 a.m.

No additional information was immediately released.
