Police searching for mother of toddler found in Hancock Park

Los Angeles police are searching for a woman whose toddler was found in the Larchmont area Tuesday.

The toddler was found in its stroller around 2:50 a.m. in the 100 block of North Larchmont Boulevard, according to the LAPD.

She was taken to the hospital, but police said she "appeared to be in good health."

While police were able to locate the child’s father, a search is underway for the child’s mother.

“Inside of the stroller, officers found an ID of the child’s mother, Targie Alexandre,” police said.

Police described Alexandre as a “25-year-old African-American female with black hair and brown eyes.”
