On Tuesday, KNX 1070 polled our followers on Instagram about their thoughts on the Sept. 14 recall election.
A total of 746 people overall participated in the poll, with 335 people answering whether or not they are voting to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom and 411 people selecting which gubernatorial candidate they’re voting for.
The results of the straw poll reflected the findings of Friday's Institute of Governmental Studies poll, which found that 60.1 percent of likely voters oppose recalling Newsom with only 38.5 percent in favor of removing the governor. The official poll surveyed likely voters in the state.
KNX's unofficial social media poll found had 56.71 percent voting no while 43.2 percent voted yes.
When it came to voting which candidate our Instagram followers plan on voting for, Larry Elder took the lead with 22.14 percent with 91 votes.
