Members of SAG-AFTRA will take part in a unity picket outside Disney studios in Burbank on Wednesday as negotiations between the actors’ union and the union representing the studios and streamers continue.
Talks between SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers were “productive” on Tuesday, according to Variety.

The entertainment trade added that the use of artificial intelligence continues to be a big issue, as SAG-AFTRA wants studios to prohibit “digital doubles” made by AI; however, the union is also reportedly asking for consent and payment if it is used.
In a video message, Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, the chief negotiator for the union, urged members to stay optimistic.
“Stay strong, keep raising your voices, be out on the picket lines,” he said. “Make sure that the studio streamers know that we stand united, we stand together and they have to come across with the right deal.”
As negotiations continue, the upcoming Hunger Games prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes received an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA, which allows the cast to promote the film. This is because Lionsgate, the studio behind the movie, is not a part of the AMPTP.
