A doctor and his wife were fatally shot in a Simi Valley neighborhood on Sunday.
Officers with the Simi Valley Police Department responded to the 500 block of Hawks Bill Place in the Wood Ranch area around 12 p.m. The couple was found on the driveway.
They both later died at the hospital.
In a statement to the media, Adventist Health Simi Valley identified the victims as Dr. Eric Cordes, who worked for the hospital, and his wife, Vicki. The hospital said Dr. Cordes was “a highly respected, board-certified radiologist and beloved physician who served this community with compassion and excellence for nearly 30 years.”
While no arrests have been made, police believe this was a targeted attack.

"It's rare for us to have a double homicide in our city," said Simi Valley Sgt. Rick Morton told Fox L.A.
Investigators say a suicide in Chino may possibly be connected; however, the two incidents haven't officially been linked yet.
