CARSON, Calif. (KNX) – A small tornado left some buildings in Carson damaged Thursday.
The National Weather Service confirmed an EF0 tornado hit the Carson-Compton area just before 9 a.m. EF0 is the weakest level of a tornado.
Forecasters said the winds were believed to be up to 75 mph and caused a “concentrated short path of minor damage to a couple of buildings, vehicle damage from debris and tree damage."
Alan McAllister told KCAL News he saw some of the damage the tornado caused.
“I just got up to look at our glass window and could see our palm trees, that are you know fairly large, were blowing sideways,” he said.
“We thought, well, we're having a little tornado and then all of a sudden you see that tree topple over.”
No injuries were reported.
