Some Southern California residents hit the roads early Wednesday morning to get to their Thanksgiving destination.
Among those traveling early was Nathan from Costa Mesa.
“I got up about 5:30 [a.m.], out the door by 5:45, and that was perfect to get through L.A.,” he told KNX News’ Jon Baird as he was charging his Tesla in Lebec.
Brian from Torrance also said he got up early to head to Sacramento to see his family.

“We came up at the end of October, same trip, and it was 10 times worse getting past LAX there,” he said. “So this was beautiful.”
The Auto Club of Southern California estimated that 5.58 million people will be driving this Thanksgiving holiday.
