LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Another storm is on the horizon and expected to reach parts of Los Angeles County Tuesday evening, bringing rain, wind and winter weather warnings.
The National Weather Service says showers should arrive after midnight with lows in the mid 50s along L.A. County beaches, LAX, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica and Torrance.
It will also be windy through the night.
Rain and wind will linger in L.A. and Orange counties until Thursday before the region dries out for the weekend.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for the San Gabriel Mountains and Highway 14 corridor from 5 a.m. Wednesday until 2 p.m. Thursday by the NWS.
Moderate levels of snow are expected from about 1 inch in the Grapevine on the Golden State (5) Freeway and up to 8 to 14 inches at elevations above 5,000 feet. Wind gusts are expected to reach 50 mph.
Travel could be very difficult to impossible and gusty winds could bring down tree branches, the NWS warns.
