Several stores were looted Monday following a street takeover in the Jefferson Park section of Los Angeles.

Officers responded to a burglary report about 3:25 a.m. at a shopping plaza at Western Avenue and Adams Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The burglary involved dozens of people and more than one shop was looted, a store owner told KTLA.

The looters struck a 98 Cent Plus store, a beauty supply store, a pizzeria and a salon, the shop keeper said.

The owner of the 98 Cents Plus store said the looters took alcohol cigarettes.

"We are waiting for my insurance, so let's see," she told KNX News' Emily Valdez. "But we need to clean. A lot of things [were] damaged."
