Officers were sent to the 9200 block of Corbin Avenue around midday on a report that the man was at the location and was thought to be armed with a rifle and a handgun, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

No injuries were reported, police said.

The standoff continued Wednesday afternoon until 3:05 p.m., when officers terminated the operation after discovering the suspect was no longer at the location, police said. A police armored vehicle was used to rip away the side of the RV, spilling the contents onto the roadway.

No further information was immediately available.
