Homicide officials with the Los Angeles Police Department say TMZ and other media put out wrong information over the weekend about the homicide case involving the singer D4vd and Celeste Rivas.
LAPD Robbery Homicide Capt. Scot Williams told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that, despite what TMZ and other outlets reported, Rivas was not decapitated nor was her body frozen.
“So if you recall, Celeste's body was found the first week of September, and we have reason to believe that she had been in that car for several weeks prior to her body being discovered,” he said. “It's in the middle of the summer. It had been very, very, very hot. There's just, it just doesn't make any sense that her body would be frozen after having been, you know, in the front storage compartment of a car for several weeks during the summertime. It just doesn't make sense.”

Williams also said there were false reports that the singer was dismembering Celeste's body during a trip to a remote part of Santa Barbara County last spring.
He also said the LAPD has put a hold on the public release of Celeste's autopsy report because investigators want to see it before the public.
