A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with an alleged shooting threat to Rancho Cucamonga High School, according to the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.

Authorities began investigating after receiving multiple phone calls on Wednesday about threats of a potential shooting at the school, located on Lark Drive. The alleged attack was planned for Thursday, callers said.

Rancho Cucamonga police determined that a 16-year-old male was behind the alleged threats; he has since been booked into juvenile hall.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Capt. Ernie Perez tweeted that there are no other suspects or additional threats to the high school at this time.

A spokesperson for Rancho Cucamonga High School told KNX that the school remains open and operational as of Thursday.
