A debate for California’s Senate race will be held at USC Monday evening.
A poll by the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studios revealed Rep. Adam Schiff has the lead, followed by former Dodgers player Steve Garvey, Rep. Katie Porter, and then Rep.Barbara Lee.
Jack Pitney, with Claremont McKenna College, said it will be interesting to see what direction Porter goes in the debate.
“She could compete with Barbara Lee for the support of progressive democrats or she could compete with Adam Schiff for the support of more moderate or centrist democrats,” he said. “The question is, can she do either?”
Pitney said we’ll just have to see what happens at the debate.
The debate will be at 6 p.m. and air on Fox 11.
