
A woman was taken into custody Monday morning after an hours-long barricade in the downtown area and after Long Beach police officers shot at her.
The officers were dispatched at 8:55 p.m. Sunday to a call of a person with a gun in the 1000 block of Long Beach Boulevard, according to an Long Beach Police Department statement.

The officers found a woman who allegedly pointed a gun at officers who fired at her, police said.
The woman barricaded herself inside a residence, police said. The SWAT team surrounded the residence.
At 2:15 a.m., the LBPD reported the woman surrendered and was taken into custody.
It was not immediately known whether she was wounded by the officers but no officers were injured, police said.
The investigation continued.
