It’d be trite to say Nandi Bushell is one of rock’s rising stars. Nope, she’s already arrived.

The 11-year-old drummer has won over the internet with countless covers of some of rock’s biggest acts. She’s drawn praise from numerous rock stars and after every video leaves us excited to see what’s next.
Next up, a bout with Slipknot.
Bushell, dressed in a full Slipknot outfit, shared a drum cover of their song “Duality” and it proves to be an outstanding tribute to a group she calls “one of my favourite bands.”
“Both Jay [Weinberg] and Joey Jordison are awesome drummers,” she wrote in the video’s description. “But I really, really love Jay's playing! True fact, I actually listen to Slipknot when I go to bed at night. I am wearing a Jay [Weinberg] mask made by Joel! Thank you Joel!“
Nandi’s cover caught the attention of Weinberg, who took to Twitter to sing her praises. “You’re the best, Nandi!!” He wrote with accompanying devil horns, heart, and drum emojis. “Always crushing it!”
It’s not the first time Bushell has covered Slipknot as she shared a raucous version of their song “Unsainted” back in 2020.
At the time, Nandi revealed that she was “a total metalhead” and the cover was the first time she used double pedals on her bass drums. If that was her first time using the double pedals, we couldn’t tell.
Nandi said the double bass drum pedals took her “playing to the next level!”
