I Love to snowboard! There's nothing like the feeling you get shreddin' down the mountain. If you share my passion you probably know the name Jake Burton Carpenter the founder of Burton who made waves in the industry back in 1977 when he created the Burton brand in a barn in Vermont.
On March 13th Bear Mountain along with12 other resorts worldwide will celebrate the life and Legacy of Jake Burton Carpenter during Global Day of Snowboarding "A Day For Jake" with free lift tickets for snowboarders who pre-register for the event.
Joining Bear Mountain are 12 other resorts like Copper Mountain/Woodward Copper, Montana's Big Sky Resort, as well as resorts in Australia, France, Italy, Canada, and Japan.
Global Day of Snowboarding is open to all levels of boarders with resorts also offering special snowboard classes to help you brush up on your skills.
It's also a chance for Industry Brands, Pro-Riders, and Reps to join together and pay homage to Jake Burton Carpenter who died last November after his battle with cancer.
