The mission of Dancers Against Cancer is to create an alliance in the dance community that provides financial support and inspiration to dance educators, choreographers, dancers, and their families, who have been impacted by cancer. The dancers of The Element Dance Center in La Mesa are dedicated to raising funds for this cause through their annual Night of Hope Gala, being held this year at the Joan B. Kroc Theatre on Saturday, August 24th. Lorraine Richards, the Chair for Donor Engagement for the Night of Hope Committee, discusses this event.
