National Night Out is celebrated nationwide on the first Tuesday of August, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships, crime prevention, and neighborhood camaraderie. This year, Fallbrook will be the first community in San Diego County to host the event, taking place in downtown Fallbrook on Saturday, August 2nd, with live music, a car show, a kid's zone, food trucks, and representatives from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, San Diego County Fire Department, Cal-Fire, and the California Highway Patrol.
Heather Mitchell, Crime Prevention Specialist for the Fallbrook Sheriff's Substation, discusses their partnership with Fallbrook Summer Nights in bringing National Night Out to our community.
