The popular La Jolla Art and Wine Festival announced today that after a year in quarantine, this free event will be returning to the scenic streets of La Jolla on Saturday, October 9th and Sunday, October 10th.

Art showcases include mediums like painting, sculpture, jewelry design, fine glass, ceramics, woodwork, mixed media, and photography. Award winning international wines will be available at the iconic wine and beer garden, featuring over 40 wineries, craft breweries, and distilleries. Guests can also enjoy 3D chalk art displays, interactive art murals, non-stop live music, Family Art Center (including interactive demos, science experiments, and arts and crafts for all ages), roving entertainment, and a gourmet food court.

For the first time this year, the Fully Expressed Foundation, a non-profit that provides workspaces and business planning to emerging artists, will host a fundraising event in the wine and beer garden from 6:30am to 10am. They’ll spotlight two musical acts with drinks and food available for attendees. Tickets can be purchased in advance and for sale outside of the wine and beer garden before the event starts.

All profits raised at the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival benefit underfunded programs such as art, music, science, physical education, technology, and on-site medical care at the five La Jolla public elementary, middle, and high schools. Get more info here or by calling 619-233-5008.
