While making an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, Jennifer Lawrence revealed just how much she loves Miranda Lambert.

While playing along during “Colbert’s Questionert” segment, the late night host asked the actress which song she would listen to for the rest of her life if she could only choose one. At first, the mother-to-be struggled to find an answer to the nearly impossible question.
The Oscar winner sighed and said, “Umm… I can’t answer that! How do you answer that?” Colbert retorted, “Carefully… God is listening; God is listening.”
Finally, after extremely careful consideration, Lawrence landed on one famed Country superstar; Miranda Lambert. Finally, Lawrence declared that Lambert’s “Holding On to You” would be her desert island song.
The song comes off Miranda’s fifth album, Platinum. “Holding On to You” was never released as a single. The track is somewhat of a deep cut and is the 13th song on Lambert’s LP. Platinum also features some of Lambert’s hits like “Smokin’ and Drinkin’” and her Country chart-topping duet with Carrie Underwood on “Somethin’ Bad.”
Lawrence has been making appearances across the talkshow circuit to promote her new film, Don’t Look Up, which is now streaming on Netflix. The dark, end-of-the-world, comedy sees Lawrence starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Timothee Chalamet, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Tyler Perry, Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi.
As for Lambert, the Country artist just dropped her latest single, “Y’all Means All,” which was in conjunction with the season 6 premiere of Netflix’s Queer Eye.
