The Padres bounced back from a Friday night loss to win two in a row at Coors Field and take the series from the Rockies, winning 8-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Padres hammered Rockies starter Tanner Gordon, blasting three home runs off him in the first 4 innings. Gordon was ultimately charged with 6 runs in 3.2 innings, as the Padres' bats came alive, totaling 15 hits, 4 of which left the park. Dylan Cease pitched well in a tough environment, allowing just one run while pitching into the sixth inning. The Padres led from wire to wire, and righted the ship as they return home for a matchup against another wild card contender in the Reds.
