The Padres' 8-game winning streak came to an end on Friday night, as they fell to the Angels 8-0. Matt Waldron made his season debut for the Padres, filling in for injured starter Nick Pivetta, and was charged with 6 earned runs in 3.2 innings of work. Waldron exited the game with 2 outs and 2 runners on base in the 4th inning having already allowed 4 runs, and David Morgan gave up a 2-run double to Jo Adell to blow the game wide open. The Padres struggled at the plate all night, mustering just 3 hits and being shutout for the first time this season. The Padres will look to rebound with German Marquez drawing the start on Saturday.
