Many of our favorite authors, actors and organizations are stepping up right now to provide resources and emotional support during the coronavirus shutdown. Last week, Sesame Street released Sesame Street: Elmo's Playdate as part of its new Caring for Each Other initiative. Now they're giving kids the option to "call" a beloved character for advice about getting through the crisis. Grover and Oscar the Grouch have each recorded messages with helpful advice for kids. One is sweet and uplifting; the other is, well, grouchie! You can listen to the messages online or you can actually call 626-831-9333 to hear the recordings over the phone. Disney has also launched a Disney character hotline, where you can listen to a special goodnight message from Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy or Goofy now through April 30th by calling 1-877-7-MICKEY (877-764-2539) select the character you'd wish to hear. Once you've made your selection, a recorded goodnight message from your selected character will play, and then the service will hang up.
