
LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) – After Friday, there will be one less option to get to and from McCarran Airport.
The SuperShuttle buses will be ceasing operations at the end of the day.
The on-demand distinctive blue vans had been dropping off and picking up passengers at McCarran Airport since 2013, first for Strip resorts, then eventually expanding to residential service.
The company that ran SuperShuttle was purchased last year.
SuperShuttles business model was no doubt hurt by the increasing number of travelers who now use ride-hailing companies like Uber and Lyft to get to and from the airport.
