LAS VEGAS, NV - Former MGM Resorts International President and CEO Jim Murren, who's now heading up the Nevada Coronavirus Task Force, says four million dollars has already been raised in 48 hours.

Murren addressed the media on Monday morning to give an update on the new organization's response, relief and recovery efforts.  While acknowledging the fact that Nevada competes for aid with states in greater need of medical supplies, he said the silver state is in a unique position to generate financial assistance through its network of local and international relationships.

He's called on people he's known for decades saying "You like Las Vegas.  You like coming to Nevada.  We need you.  We've helped you.  You need to help us."

Murren added the allocation of all incoming donations will be determined by the state of Nevada.
