
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas continues to see a rise is violent crime, with Metro Police investigating three separate scenes where people died.
The first incident happened Sunday morning. Metro's looking for as many as 8 suspects in a south valley stabbing that left a man dead. It happened at the Grandview Las Vegas next to the South Point. Police say the victim was attacked by the group when he and a woman arrived for a birthday party. The relationship between the victim and suspects hasn’t been specified. The woman who accompanied the victim was beaten.
Later that afternoon, a security guard shot and killed a man at the South Point Hotel.
Police say the man went outside to the valet area, held a gun up and fired a shot in the air. When he attempted to go back inside the hotel he was stopped by security. When the man pointed the gun at security he was shot. No was else was hurt. The man’s identity hasn’t been released.
Early Monday police responded to a house party in a neighborhood near Alata and Durango on reports of gunfire and found a man in his 20s dead at the scene. Police continue to be on scene interviewing neighbors as well as those that attended the party in hopes of locating the person or persons responsible.
