LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Metro Police have arrested a man who held up a bank on New Year's Eve, and believe he may be responsible for other bank robberies in the area.

Acting on a tip, police arrested 31 year-old Equaveon Williams without incident on Monday.

Video clips from the U.S. Bank location on West Craig Road were circulated widely, and those clips led to the tip. The robbery occurred around 3pm on New Year's Eve. Witnesses said not only did Williams point a gun at them during the robberry, but also at an infant that was being held by his mom.

Police believe they can link Williams to two other recent U.S. Bank heists in North Las Vegas.

Currently, Williams is being held in the Clark County Detention Center, with bond set at $100,000. His preliminary hearing is set for January 23rd.
