LAS VEGAS, NV (NV) - Las Vegas Metro Police say they have arrested a woman in connection the fatal shooting of a California man along I-15 last August.

Jeffrey Boyajian and his wife were arriving in Las Vegas to celebrate his birthday back on the night of August 5th, when a white Dodge van that police say was being driven by Marcia Mingo pulled up alongside their car. Police say that Boyajian did a "brake check" move because he was upset that Mingo was tailgating him.

The van then pulled up alongside Boyajian's car and shots were fired.

Boyajian was killed. His wife was not hurt. The area of I-15 between Silverado Ranch and Blue Diamond Road was closed for hours  for the investigation.

Shortly after the shooting, video of the van surfaced, but no tips were garnered.

Metro Police say they went through hundreds of hours of video, including footage from a local CAT bus that showed the van and gave law enforcement a better look.

Investigators eventually found the van in the Los Angeles area. They say Mingo was in the process of moving to Las Vegas from southern California.

Police don't believe that the 60-year old Mingo, who had her two grown children in the van with her at the time of the shooting, fired the shots that killed Boyajian. They do believe, however, that she's covering for the person who did.

Mingo faces charges of harboring, concealing or aiding a felony offender in connection with the shooting. Her children haven't been charged.
