
LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Two people have been arrested in connection with an east-side double murder from last weekend.
Early Saturday, a group of four men were walking in an alley near Paradise and Twain where they met up with another group of three. The relationship between the two groups isn't known.
The second group fired shots at the quartet. One person died at the scene, with a second later dying after being transported to Sunrise Trauma Center.
LVMPD Detectives identified 20-year-old Ivan Herrera and 27-year-old Bobby Torres as the suspects in this case. On Wednesday, members of the Criminal Apprehension Team team took Herrera and Torres into custody without incident. The Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) is a Federal Bureau of Investigation led, multi- jurisdictional task force staffed in the LVMPD’s Major Violators Bureau. It is comprised of FBI, LVMPD, Henderson and North Las Vegas Police Departments
Herrera and Torres were transported to the Clark County Detention Center where they face two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of battery with the use of a deadly weapon, and two counts of attempt murder.
