Arrests Made In Two Weekend Murders

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Metro Police have arrested two men in connection with separate homicides over the weekend.

The first case involved a shooting in the Providence Master Planned Community near Centennial and 215. LVMPD Dispatch received a call from a female who reported she had been shot inside of her home. Moments later a second call was received by an 11-year-old inside of the residence who told police that his father shot his mother.

LVMPD patrol officers arrived on scene and apprehended the suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Michael Alex.

Officers entered the residence and located an unconscious adult female laying on the living room floor and summoned medical attention. Officers also located the juvenile inside the residence unharmed. The victim was later pronounced deceased on scene. The juvenile was placed in the cutody of Child Protective Services.

In the second case, Metro arrested 25-year-old Matthew Rebich-Graham for the stabbing death of Heath Jensen on Friday night. Both Rebich-Graham and Jensen lived in a drainage tunnel behind an apartment complex at Decatur and Hacienda.

Tips from witnesses led to Rebich-Graham's arrest near Decatur and Tropicana on Saturday night.

Both Alex and Rebich Graham face charges of open murder.
