LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds have been cleared for takeoff after being grounded recently due to an outbreak of COVID-19 through the squad.

The aerial demonstration team, stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, had to cancel shows due to the outbreak. The Air Force didn't disclose the number of people in the group who were affected, but specified that none of those testing positive for coronavirus were pilots.

Most of the team's upcoming shows have been canceled, with the next one set for August 15th and 16th in Ocean City, Maryland.
