Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Bail has has been denied for two accused puppy thieves.
Lawrence Warfield and Chey Rose were arrested early Monday after police say the pair stole three English bulldog pups at gunpoint from a home near Lake Mead and Nellis. A police report on the incident said the homeowner had known one of the men from a previous transaction involving a moped.
Police say that a deal had been reached to buy one of the pups for $4,000. Then as things were being finalized a gun was drawn and three pups were taken.
Police got a description of the suspects' vehicle from the homeowner and had both men collared within a couple of hours.
The dogs were returned to their owner, safe and sound.
Rose and Warfield now face charges of suspicion of conspiracy, robbery, and burglary.
