LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Bail was set Thursday for an Excalibur employee accused of starting a fire in one of that hotel's rooms.
Aviaon Lee, an employee of the hotel, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fire in a room back on February 5th.
When first responders were called to the scene, they found a mattress on fire, and Lee gave them a statement saying that a sexual assault had occurred.
Further investigation found those sexual assault allegations to be false.
Police say that money was the motivation behind Lee's acts. Damage done to the room is estimated at close to $600,000.
She faces first-degree arson and burgalry with a deadly weapon charges. Both are felonies.
On Thursday, a Las Vegas judge set bond at $10,000. Should she post bond, Lee would be released on what is called "mid-level monitoring". Lee's next court appearance is scheduled for May 19th.
