Forget the rest area near Searchlight for a break from travels for a bit. A swarm of bees forced the Nevada Department of Transportation to shut down the roadside stop on Wednesday.
According to an NDOT release, maintenance crews discovered hundreds of bees swarming the faucets, toilets, and other facilities, while performing a fog seal pavement upgrade to the north and south parking lots.
