KAS VEGAS. NV (KXNT) - Search and rescue crews on Tuesday afternoon found the body of a man who had been missing since going on a hike in Red Rock Canyon on Sunday.
Ronnie Lucas had last been heard from around 5pm on Sunday. Weather had hamepred search efforts on Sunday night, and after nothing turned up on Monday a private search crew found Lucas' body on Tuesday.
Lucas, a Type-1 diabetic, had gone for a hike in the Oak Creek Canyon Trail area. His family says he was dressed for a day hike and wasn't prepared for if he had gotten lost.
The cause and manner of Lucas' death has yet to be determined
Lucas leaves behind a ten-year-old son.
