LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Caesars Entertainment Group will be raising resort fees on four of its Strip properties, starting today.
The resort fee hike will affect guests staying at The Linq, Bally's, Flamingo, and Harrah's Las Vegas.
Effective today, the resort fees at those properties will rise $2 per night to $37 per night. Add in the tax and the fee goes up to almost $42 per night.
The move comes after the company's recent release of its 4th quarter numbers that showed a loss of over $300 million.
Resort fees are what properties levy to cover expenses for things like wi-fi connections, fitness centers and local phone calls.
There's currently a movement underway that's lobbying lawmakers to get resorts to make resort fees more transparent for guests. Often, the guest sees only the room rate, with the resort fees coming as a surprise to the guest after they've checked in.
