LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The Clark County Coroner's Office has released information regarding two recent fatal wrong-way accidents on Interstate 15.
The first occurred on December 3rd, when a car being driven by 39 year old Frank Magliarditi slammed into a semi-trailer while driving south in the northbound lanes of I-15 near Charleston. The coroner's office said Magliarditi's blood alcohol level was .143, almost twice Nevada's legal limit of .08.
The coroner also said the Magliarditi tested postive for THC- the active ingredient in marijuana- as well.
The driver of the semi wasn't hurt.
On December 21st, a woman was killed when the car she was driving slammed into a semi on I-15 near Jean.
Police say 23 year old Cecily Camarena was driving north in the southbound lanes at the time.
Her death has been ruled as a suicide, but the circumstances that allowed for that conclusion to be made haven't been made public.
The semi-driver in that crash also wasn't seriously hurt.
