Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - While we're all hoping that 2021 brings us more properous times than 2020, a big convention that was supposed to begin on Monday is a reminder that Las Vegas still has a ways to go before getting back to pre-pandemic normalcy.
The Consumer Electronics Show gets underway Monday and it will have a much different look and feel than in years' past.
Rather than taking place at its usual spot in Las Vegas, CES is going virtual this year due to the pandemic.
Some of the major brands being featured this year include Sony, Microsoft, Samsung, Intel and LG. LG already unveiled a first-of-its-kind EyeSafe-certified TV display at a preview event. It meets EyeSafe standards for low emissions of blue light without compromising on the overall color experience.
Last Year's convention brought an estimated 185,000 people to town and generated nearly $300 million in non-gaming revenue.
